I use a hand saw I got from BandQ, retractable blade. It was in the garden centre part. Very light with a good blade.
I know a petrol chainsaw is perfect but they are little on the heavy side and expensive. I tried beavers but they are just to darn lazy.
Anyone use anything different when camping?

Hi,
Folding saws are great - although depending on the wood you're likely to cut, it might be worthwhile to invest in a bow saw.
I got mine from a local hardware store at a cost of £7.
It means you can cut through much heavier logs and branches.
Again, it'll all depend on what wood you intend to cut

I have to admit I'm no really into cutting and sawing. I understand its the way that works and I'm not saying otherwise.
My method would be:
-Find desired branch
-Find large rock
-Place large rock under branch
-Jump on branch to break
If the above fails, repeat steps 1-4. ;D

Hi
I made a 24" take down bow saw out of aluminum. packs down well . fits in my kayak barrel and is brilliant for processing firewood
A friend of mine is pictured below using it

For me it's a laplander for small light work, and I also carry a rolled up bow saw blade which gets fitted into a bent branch as a heavy bow saw for large logs.
