Good thread. I would usually always go for a pint after a walk. Whilst I love the fact that walking is natural and free, I also think it is nice to drop a couple of quid into the rural economy in these beauty spots.
Mine so far:
Castlewellan: Maginn's Bar (http://www.maginnsbar.com/) - They do a good Sunday roast also.
Newcastle: O'Hares (http://www.oharesloungebars.com/) A back door onto Donard Park car park. Handy for both post and pre-walk drinks!
Cairncastle: Matties Meeting House (http://www.mattiesmeetinghouse.com/) A traditional pub with plenty of charm sitting under the Sallagh Braes (near Ballygalley). Impromptu tradional sessions too.
I'd love to hear some other recommendations.

Yup! I much prefer the new name :D

It shall always be "the cp", it used to be a bloodbath on saturday nights at kicking out time.

Probably still is! Sunday was the first time I had been in there in years, the open fire was very welcome! :)
