Title: Emotion Kayaks
Post by: lowa on November 16, 2011
Hi, a friend has asked for my advice on an emotion Bliss kayak but im not that familiar with the emotion kayaks, so does anyone have one that she can see or even test out before she buys it.

She is based in Hollywood area but she is willing to travel to get advice.

Thanks

Lowa

What is it she intends to do, sea paddling, rivers etc different kayaks are used for different area's of kayaking. The Emotion Bliss seems a bit long for river paddling and a bit short for sea paddling. The average river kayak tends to be between 6 foot 8 to around 8 and a half foot and the usual sea kayaks range from around 14 feet to over 17. The Bliss is 10 foot 10 so manoeuvring down rivers would be very difficult whilst you would lose speed, tracking (no skeg) etc on the sea.
Hope this helps  :)
