He was on before and I missed it so I hope to be able to make it this time. Thought I would let you all on the NI Wild Blog know about it.

Some notable achivevements;
  • blah blah
  • blah blah
  • blah
  • The rather more obscure (but no less impressive) ascent of a 65ft ice streak created by a leaking toilet outflow at St. Pancras station in the heart of London

I like his style, that's two ticket bought for my Dad's birthday.

Thanks for posting...

Anyone else going?

Take it there will not be any more than vending machine tea and coffee on at that time at night? (this is going to be my first time in the slug since it was built) Going to be heading straight there from. Possibly need to pick up a bag of chip on the way through Dundrum.

Yea, to be honest I've not been in there since a slimy battered sausage supper about two years ago....that and the wife has renamed their chippy van that sits outside Clough the Roadside Kill (http://g.co/maps/5rbhp).

I went to this lecture last night in Tollymore NOC. It was very cold. Thankfully the centre was warm. Met jsurginor and his friend Felim (Don't know him by his username of this forum). It is good to meet up with members of this forum. Had a good chat. We had a cup of tea and cakes supplied by Tollymore NOC. Then the talk started at 7.40. Very interesting talk. He sarted with photos of when he started when he was a child up to his recent trip. Very interesting talk of climbing and plenty of great photos. The intersting thing he said was there are still unexplored mountains out there to be climbed. His climbs were over 6000m. He was awarded the Piolet d'Or which he show us a picture of. Good lecture... Here is a picture of him http://www.climbandmore.com/upload/Image/climbers/Mick_Fowler.jpg
