Title: Snow Socks
Post by: Eamonn on October 27, 2011
There's an offer on Groupon for half price snow sock. £32 pounds i think. I'm thinking of getting a pair and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with Snow socks before?

Are these for car tyres?  Did a wee google on them, they seem like a good idea to get round the problem of wanting to walk in the snow but struggling to get to the hills.

I deleted my Groupon email today without looking at it  :-[

A collegue bought a set last year and they got him out of a few slippery spots but you have to take them off when you hit the tarmac. I might go for a set of snow tyres this year (16 inch  >:( ) but i managed ok last year including driving up the slievenaman road (by ott mountain)  in the mournes, this road doesn't get gritted and is quite steep.
