hi gary here ,came across site by chance and thought i would join. just started walking/camping again after years as my daughter (7) wanted to try it and loved it.last w/end meelmore overnight now she wants more. WHY this time of year lol

welcome gary, your lucky to have her, my wee girl wanted to go camping in the summer but seems to have changed her mind now ;D she'll enjoy the next family camp, we have a few on the forum with daughters that age

Welcome Gary. Winter isn't actually that bad a time of year for hiking. Cold crisp days are great fun if you're wrapped up warm plus there's always the chance of some snow for the kids. In the summer when the sun's beating down it's nice to be on a beach but hiking in heat is really tiring.
