Title: My New Lightweight Gear List
Post by: RedLeader on October 12, 2011
I've updated my standard gear list with a view to getting as light as possible. I've attached a PDF with weights and notes but this is the basic list:

Shelter / Sleep
Army Surplus Goretex Bivvy bag   806
2 sections of carbon fibre tent pole   105
Ultralight solo tarp+5pegs+3guys   430
Alpkit Pipedream 600 (in blue dry bag)   1,098
Earplugs
Exped Synmat 7 UL sleep mat   446

Camp
FAK basics inc Head torch sp batts   126
GPS   156
Head torch   80
Map / compass   175
Phone dry bag
Spare Plastic bags
Toilet paper
Toilet Trowel or knife   70
Osprey Mutant 38 Rucksack   1,250

Cook
Vango mini+Trangia pots+Ti cup+lighter+gas   656
Kitchen roll
Sigg 1L   1,128
Spork

Spare Clothing / Wet Gear
Berghaus Deluge Waterproof Trousers   389
Berghaus Down Vest   443
Buff   46
Gloves   50
Hat   110
Mountain Equipment Ogre Jacket   569
Microfleece   434
Thermal baselayer   175
Blue drybag   54

Entertainment
Headphones
Iphone
Ipod Nano

Food    1,000

Total Weight : 9,796g

Some stuff didn't get weighed and I guestimated the food at 1kg for a trip starting in the evening and finishing late afternoon the following day. I'd say a few hundred grams might go on.

All I can say is, I'll miss my firelog  :'( but at 1.4kg it's just not worth it.
