Hi, I am David from Dundalk which I know is outside NI. Hope you don't mind. I do spend a lot of time in the Mournes hiking with The Wee Binnian Walkers and with friends. I represent walker’s interests on the UFRC (Ulster Federation of Rambling Club).http://www.ufrc-online.co.uk/ (http://www.ufrc-online.co.uk/) Hope that qualifies me for this forum. I came across this site by accident. There are some interesting topics being discussed so hope I can join in some of the discussions. Thank you for reading this.....

Welcome aboard.

Welcome!

Howdy.
With you being from that neck of the woods have you any decent routes across Carlingford Mountain/Foxes Rock? I've looked at the area a few times and it seems to lend itself more towards a linear walk. If you are familiar with it, you'll no doubt know how to get the best out of it.

Howdy whoRya,
Yes, I would know the neck of the woods fairly well. Mind you if you click on the foloowing link I have mapped out a route. http://homepage.eircom.net/~davidsloan05/Images/SliveFoyeFoxesRock.jpg (http://homepage.eircom.net/~davidsloan05/Images/SliveFoyeFoxesRock.jpg). I hope you are good at your map and compass. This route is quite long but in a good day, it would be good. I was hoping to take my girlfriend up this way last Sat but the weather was too miserable. The weather for this weekend doesn't look great either.... :( :( :(
