This could start like a alcoholics meeting introduction, i should save that till i know you all better eh.... anyway the Names Jimmy Ray im 33 from Portadown, a keen outdoors enthusiast, be it mountain biking, hiking, camping and just generally being outside as im stuck indoors most of the week.
Its been a while since i was seriously out and about the mountains or the mountain bike and finally getting back into it all again & reviving the kit. The eldest child is away doing his own thing and its skipped the middle one and now the youngest who's 6 is keen as mustard to get up the mountains as much as possible.
always looking to learn something new, chat to like minded folks for ideas and just talk a lot generally.

Thank you everyone for the most welcoming reception. Hope to meet some of you all on the mountains soon - 22nd October maybe?
Will have to see how my daughter, now affectionately know for handiness as 1/2 pint :) goes with the trek in. She doing well with the hiking of her own accord so will follow the natural progression and be patient. Failing that its a lift to Carrick Little!
-
Welcome along jimmy and half pint. You gonna enjoy this.
Alan.
-
Thanks Alan.

im getting eager to be out and about and meet some folks!!
-
welcome jimmy and the little un, what age is she, good company for my 6yr old hopefully if we go camping :)
edit:
just watched the video, redleader you have to download that to your ipod and we can make it our new themetune at camp ;D
-
Sounds good Landy, she is 6 on 19th Oct so is exactly my thoughts exactly. Company for her too. I have toake every effort to be available on 22nd for Binnian.
-
not sure my wee girl will want to be doing the winter camping though, expecially not on binnian, she inisits on getting carried up the hills :o
-
Not a great place to have to be the one carrying.... I think the winter one, certainly the first night out will be less 1/2 pint, after a hike in the snow we will se if she still fancies it but the Annalong wood or Trassey track would be better snow camping if kids go or better still Lough Shannagh?
Shannagh was always the place for us on new years day traditionally.
