I found this last night, and thought it would be a nice idea for the colder camping nights!
1 ltr good cider
thumb size piece of ginger
1 cinnamon stick
tiny bit of nutmeg
table spoon of dark muscovado sugar
thyme (optional)(part of your 5 a day?) 5 cloves and 200 mls of brandy
pour cider ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, thyme and cloves into a saucepan.. heat the cider until its hot (dont boil.. it takes the alcohol out of it) and simmer for 4 minutes. Pour the brandy in. Pour into flask.. climb up a big mountain.. its advisable at this stage to set up camp before drinking the contents of flask.. drink and sleep well ;D

I'll carry it all up if you cook it for me and I'll let you have a share ;D

Great recipe! Can just see myself on a summit somewhere sipping on this! Def 1 for the winter!

I really like the sound of this. Seems like the perfect nightcap when you're on a chilly mountain.
