Sunday 2nd October is National Trails Day.

Quote
NATIONAL TRAILS DAY is a celebration of Ireland’s wonderful variety of trails and a chance for everyone to enjoy some of our most beautiful countryside, forests, mountains and lakes.  With miles and miles of trails to explore, there is a trail to suit everyone.

some great wee free events there, hope to get to one myself, either the castleward family trail cycle or the silent valley treasure hunt, maybe both!

Doh!  I was hoping to attend one of the CANI events on Strangford Lough but I'm just off the phone from them and they are fully booked :(  Back to the drawing board!

I felt exactly the same way when I rang them and asked the same question during the week and got the same reply.  But then I had a brainwave and rang them back and the Fermanagh ones still have places.  So I'm intending to camp at the campsite in Crom which is about 50m where they're meeting for one of the CANI events.
