Title: Attention all teachers!
Post by: Rumblebum on August 29, 2011
We need to put this straight,

1. It is the mourne mountains and not the mourne mountain. (there is more than 1)

2. You could not 'wing' it up them all in a couple of hours, unless u were on something illegal.

3. There is a rather large mountain called Donard, and not 'Donald' as my nephew knows it.

4. You cant take the car up em. Unless its in very small pieces.

5. My friends call it 'Brokebacken' when i take myself into the hills, but ive yet to bump into two 'happy cowboys'.

This is a small list of topics that i have to cover with friends and work mates on a regular basis.

Personally i blame the education system, there is a certain teacher from Bangoooor on this forum who should be hanging his head in shame right now. u know who u are!!!!

Has anyone else heard any random statements to do with the hills?

You can't take a pop at teachers in general with a post where you used "u" instead of "you" :P

There's one misunderstanding that annoys me more than any other when it comes to the hills in Northern Ireland.

The overcrowded Mournes aren't all we've got you know.
