The mrs and I are camping at the top of doan, it's blowing a gale and surrounded by cloud most of the time but still havin a great time! Lol

aye we are hanging in there Gerry, nice and dry would be a perfect night if it wasn't for the feckin wind! Lol cloud is clearing somewhat am enjoying the stars, can just make out silent valley below us!

top spot indeed red, wind still gusting like feck but just had a lovely cuppa in the tent, sun is shining looking forward to a nice walk down!

drove by the mournes this morning and they looked spectacular, thought on joining you for a coffee but had work to do  :(

Aye it was a nice morning in the mournes, we only had tea but you'd have been welcome to a cup!  :)

clouds closed in very quickly, by the time we got to the base of doan, we couldnt even see it in front of us!

and people (obviously nobody on here! :)) say I am crazy for trekking up the mournes to camp, this is what its all about for me, food for the soul!!

drying out the gaiters after i went up to my knee in the bog! (though in conjunction with the trusty german army boot, my feet were still warm and dry!)  ;D
