Hi guys, im just wondering if any of you work for cotswolds at all, the reason im asking is that about 3 months ago i bought myself a new tent from their boucher store, its a vango cyclone 200+, i had been looking at the marmot grid tent but this was in the sale for around £100, so that made its choice an easy decission.
Its not an old tent but i can never seem to find any reviews on it and it looks to have been discontinued before its even had a chance to shine, whorya and myself used it on top of Doan at the end of april with great success.
Hmmmmm, maybe it attracts lightening.

It's an odd one, a quick search for the tent told me it was new for 2010 (as part of the mountain range)....but seems to be discontinued a year later.
You can look at it two ways.
One, be concerned as to why (I'd email Vango and ask them to put my mind at ease).
Or
Two, use the thing and enjoy the fact that you got a tent with an apparently good spec for not a whole lot of money. It has done its job so far. Not that I'm overly keen on the idea, but maybe it needs a bad weather outing.

Chris did work in Cotswolds but I hear he's left. Twentyclicks was working in Tiso if it's any help.

Why are you looking to read a review on it after you have bought it...?
Surely using it and summit camping in it as as good as any review you will ever read...?
-
It was on offer so i bought it and if i wasnt happy with it then could have returned it no problem, so when i got back and couldnt find reviews on it i just thought it a bit strange, im an inquisitive type me! Have you everstuck your tounge into a fan? DONT!!!!!!

I wouldn't worry about the lack of reviews. Plenty of good kit never gets reviewed because reviewing takes time and it's just not possible to review everything, especially when it's a year-specific offering. It gets even more confusing when models get updated, but the names don't. This means you can be reading a review of a tent that isn't available any more thinking that it's a review of a tent you are about to buy. The bottom line is that if the tent works for you and you are happy with it, then just get as much use out of it as you can ... and maybe write a review of it ;)

Thanks simon, ive got a few good trips ahead of me so the little vango will be put through her paces, hopefully with some good photos and abit of a write up for the gang.

I have the vango tornado which is the version before the cyclone. Not much difference between the two. See my video review on the NI wild blog :)
