Found this at a car park in the mournes hidden under a rock and in a wooden box, my geocaching instincts led me to it while i was waiting for someone and they were late so i wandered about and noticed something odd. At first i thought it was a geocache as there are a few multicaches in the area, then i saw 2 wires coming from in going further into the ground and got a bit wary, there were muggle teenagers nearby so i left it alone (for now ;) ) it may be some sort of traffic monitor (i've heard there are a few about the mournes)

I did the four peaks a couple of weeks ago with whorya, the first part was up donard from the slieve donard carpark, one of the guys in our party works for ordanance survey and when we got level with the ice house he pointed out that theres one of these traffic monitors burried in the path, its easy to notice when you know its there as the ground is all springy when you walk on it, needless to say we jumped up and down on it like a couple of plebs, they now think theres a yeti in the mournes!

do not touch if there are wires. ::)

if there was a red and blue one it would have been all right as everyone knows you should cut the blue one.... or was it the red one ??? but they were black and white >:(

as the guy i was with had already lost part of his leg in an explosion, i thought it best we leave it alone ::)

oh errr, its those things that your not meant to go near that taunt me, after a few beers, the electric fences become very appealing.
