Title: Hello from a new member
Post by: gilderwild on July 06, 2011
Hello, just recently discovered the site, which looks amazing. Mother of three children 11-16 who love the outdoors, bushcraft, slacklining and juggling and try to get outside as much as possible. At the moment we're based in England but often spend time in the Kilkeel area - about to head back for the rest of July. Wondered if I could pick someone's brain about recommendations for camping (small campsites/ wild camping) around there, inland or by the coast - could be up to a couple of hours' drive away - for a couple of nights or 2x one-nighters? Any suggestions gratefully received. Many thanks!

Welcome to the forum. There's loads of places you to camp being based at Kilkeel which is a stones throw from the Mourne Mountains. Have a click through the Meets section of the forum and you'll see where we've been.

Hiya and welcome to the forum.

Not wild camping but Kilbroney Park in Rostrevor isn't too far away from the area you want and seems to be well reviewed online.
