The one I've had for a while got an outing at the weekend but there is a small leak.
Any suggestions for a replacement?
Was looking at Cotswold catalogue and fancy the Source Widepac 2 litre at £20.
I have to go out for the evening but look forward to reading your views.
Thank you.

I use source ones. I have 2, a 2L and 1.5L
Both r great.

I've always wanted one of these

It looks like it can take a beating, so hopefully wouldn't leak.
Personally I think it might be worth the extra £6

This is another one of those very personal ones, I am a fan of the camelback's but then I have always used them and they work for me. I use the 2l insulated one, it's bomb proof but it's not the lightest.

I used a platypus for years and they are very hard wearing, but the bite valve could be better. I dumped my sack in the back of the car a few years ago and, unknown to me, the bit valve got squashed into the open position. When I got to the hills and got my pack out ... 1.5 litres of water had moved from sack to car boot >:(
I've been using a Source for a while now and like it a lot. The bite valve especially is a much better design - it has a cap to keep it clean and it twists open/shut. In the open position, just bite and suck.

Just back from the Foreigner and Journey concert. Clever muscians but I didn't know a lot of their material. Paid extra to have seats with p***heads in front who liked to talk, stand up and air guitar, drink loads and move in and out of the row.
Thanks for all the advice. I might be able to get a new one for Fathers Day.

your just getting to old for this concert stuff ;D i gave up years ago, might be tempted if ac/dc come back though, felt weird dropping the kids off to their last concert and not going myself!

A vote here for the Source Widepak. I don't use it much these days but it always seemed a great bit of kit.

As ususal a wealth of experience has been displayed in your comments.
I opted for the Source Widepac 2 litre as it was within the budget allocated (for Fathers Day) and seems a reasonable choice for my needs.
Its first outing will be on this week-ends Plod Mournes (iPlod to us).
Thanks.
