Wondering if anyone knows any good spots up in Glenveigh park that are out of sight of the well used trails that will suit for a weekend overnighter?
-

I'm sure with exlporation you could find something.

Just realised after looking at that website: I only looked at it a few days ago and planned a trip there during summer.
Was disappointed to find out there was no camp site and i think camping on national trust is frowned upon.
-
was planning a trip there too, bus to letterkenny then to glenviegh but there isnt a bus lol. Did look at the website though and it said wildcamping was permitted as long as your not an idiot about it basically. was also wondering if there were any good spots or if it was more like tollymore with marked trials everywhere or if there was just thick brush on either side. Driving test on the 11th so will get up sometime before it gets too cold!

Glenveagh is a beautiful part of Ireland, been there a few times with my wife.
It reminds me of Scandanavia in many ways and I'd love to get back and explore it sometime. A wildcamp there sounds great, I wish you well with it. Where did you find out about it being okay? I take it they'll want the leave no trace principle used.

I remember being on the website about a month ago and seeing wild camping is permitted and small fires are ok too but just went back to the site and it says fires are not ok :-\ still going to go up sometime and will report back! Trying to wrangle a canoe from another member here so might take it to the loughs for a wee paddle. Looks absolutely stunning. Gonna really annoy me now I cant find that page!!
