The testing session went rather well. It rained hard, and we have found out that the tent does indeed work. It kept us dry and it withstood strong winds, seems a suitable model.
The poles only clip into their eyelets at one side of the tent, this is something I haven't come across before. But after realising that the tent was up and pitched. The pegs were quite slimline didnt have much surface area to push with.

The weather took a turn for the worse, so we tried to throw something together with wind breaks. It does not work, windbreaks are not waterproof. :Dhttp://www.flickr.com/photos/oisin_patenall/5747737445/in/photostream/
We cooked smash in the mess tins to get something warm in us. The porch is a good size.

We then treated ourselves with a Chinese delivery. The joys of being close to civilisation. :)http://www.flickr.com/photos/oisin_patenall/5748312322/in/photostream/
And as we went to pack up this morning to sun came out to dry our tent. So a good weekend to test it out. No major disasters, would recommend it. :)

Its a Coleman Pictor X2 Two man tent.
Reasonable size for a two man wih a nice bit of a porch for the luggage.
The two doors are a nice extra.
