I managed to totally miss this thread!

After the Red Arrows last year we camped in Meelmore Lodge on a completely dark, clear, moonless night and we could see the Milky Way and more stars than I had ever seen before. It was an awesome experience that I have tried hard to repeat but not managed yet.
