There will be a training morning for the Iplod. It will be at the Burrendale at 1030am.
Can everyone who is marshalling the Iplod and can attend please reply.
Basically we want to go through everyone's roles, the check in procedures, evacuation routes, evacuation procedures, comms procedures etc.
We need everyone's next of kin details and mobile phone numbers.
We want to go through a brief kit list so everyone is well equipped in the hills.
I also would like to bring along a medic of some description to give you a few clues as to what to watch out for in the walkers - any signs of exhaustion, hypothermia, things like that.
There will be medical cover over the weekend but not in the hills. They will be based around the route.
Attendees

Can't make the training, but more than happy to help on the day. I belive I would be ok without training as long as I know the routes and evac sites. :)
-
I'm looking good for being able to attend.
-
I canne make it working Friday Saturday nights :(
-
sorry j can'y make it but I'm sure it will be no different to last year
-

I am sure like all these type events it is to get the information out to cover themselves, heaven knows how much paper work I need to submit to get the kids out of school for a day. I will be attending the event and aim to post up a summary of the discussions.
I noticed that they are looking information from us; I will get an e-mail contact and post this up in this thread so everyone can submit their information as required.
I am presuming that are looking for
• name
• address
• dob
• any medical issues
• contact details for the person and next of kin
If you want to e-mail me this, I can print it and give it in on Saturday.
E-mail addresses are as follows
Personal matthewrblack@aol.com
After the information is collated, it would probably be an idea to try to sort out who wants to be paired with whom on the evening / morning of the event and where.
Matthew.
