It's Cap in hand time....
My Scout Troop (1st Carryduff) have invested a whole lot of money over the last few years in replacing our group camping gear for the young people.
However the time has come for us to replace the leaders tents, and that is where I hope you can help.
The male leader tent is over 10 years old, torn, broken zip and no longer fit for purpose.
The female leader tent fell apart a long time ago and ever since we have been relying on the generosity of parents to lend their family tent each year.
I hope through friends and acquaintances to raise £500 to cover the cost of purchasing two new tents for the leaders to be used this season.
If you think you can help, I'm accepting Paypal payments
To send paypal click this link https://www.paypal-marketing.co.uk/sendmoney/index.htm and if you can forgive my blatant begging please send what you can to maxwell . phil @ gmail . com
Thanks in advance

Up to £130 so far...
Cheers to all who have donated so far...
Wasn't really expecting this to do anything, but it's amazing, that even though the max donation so far is £5, how quickly it all adds up...
If you feel you can donate, even a quid, click the paypal link, enter my email address and click send..
Cheers

Have you tried bagpacking? We raid Asda every Christmas and Easter and raise about £3,000 a year towards camps and equipment. Kids hate it but it beats Cake n Bakes!! Mind you we're quite a big troop with 30 scouts and 15 explorers.

I'd second bagpacking!
I remember doing it around christmas with my old rugby club. Would raise alot of money, especially when people were doing their big christmas food shop, and just pile in their change into the buckets. 8)

Just dreaming...
Imagine if all the 194 views of this thread paid £2 per view = £388 + one happy punter with a bottle of 10yr Bush.

A friend of mine recently took part in a bag pack to raise money for a trip to Cambodia to build houses. Out of all the fund raising she tried the bag packing was by far the most successful, although she did say it took a bit of perseverance to find a shopping centre who were willing to accomodate her. Think it takes you to have a application in well in advance.
That said, a bottle of Bushmills should be plenty of incentive for the NI-Wild crew :D

Just broke the £300 mark, more than half way there...!!!
WhoooHooo...
Come on, £2... it's not that much for a bottle of whiskey, if yer lucky...

Hi Phil,
Just be careful with the raffle and Paypal. If Paypal get wind you're doing a raffle they will ask you to stop etc.
Just something to mindful of :)
