Title: Alternative

I had a plan.  A really good plan.  Mu other half, her sister and thier mother (my Mother-in-Law) were coming to my house to watch some event on the tele.  It got better.  My brother's wife was going to come over too.  He and I were then going to excuse ourselves and perhaps slip off to the Mournes for a bit of a dander, leaving them to it.  We would return in the afternoon after a good day.  They would have had a good day also.  Win Win.

Wrong.  Bother's wife had new Ikea furniture delivered today just for him to have something to do tomorrow.  Me?  well plans do change and now we (me included) have to go over to my Brother-in-Laws's after this momentous occassion for a BBQ in the afternoon.  Win-Loose!

Has there ever been a time when you really just wanted the simple things in life like a walk in the hills?

 :D sounds like my day last monday when i wanted to join you all in the hills  >:(

i'm off tomorrow and hoping to get out, just waiting for something to get in the way  8)

That's a rather nifty and fetching little tank-top Mr Grylls is sporting. 

Trying to console myself with a few cold Guinness and scanning the forum for posts such as you have added 666-pack, it did make me smile. ;D

Slumped in the lounge with wife, her sister and my daughter who were watching Big Fat (Thi*****) Gypsy Wedding while I had earphones in listening to Elbow-seldom seen Kid and scanning through Cotswold summer catalogue, an ellisbrigham catalogue and the latest copy of Trial magazine.  Stll trying to look interested.  A glimmer of hope.  Just been asked what I'm doing tomorrow, as long as UI'm back for 2pm to go to brother-in-laws for BBQ. :-\
