Anybody planning on heading into the hills next Friday evening (15th). i wanted to go this Sunday but the wife is making me dive for scallops in Strangford this Sunday instead. Keep telling myself it's not cold this time of year, it's not cold this time of year. Fecking freezing more like :(

Well, went for a drive last weekend down the Lough Shore road outside Portaferry and came across a nice stoney beach with a couple of lads in scuba diving. One of the lads was making his way up the beach so I went over for a chat and he was telling me about the amount of scallops, red crab and other edible goodies just a stones throw from the shore when tide was in. As soon as the wife heard about the scallops I was ordered (not told) to get my snorkelling gear sorted and wet suit out and get down there the first chance I can. If I survive the hyperthermia I will post some pics on Sunday night of my catch. Wish me luck.

I was thinking of heading up after work. I work in belfast and finish about 5 so I would be parking up somewhere at 6ish.
