Just looked at Redleaders Galloway forest park post (http://www.ni-wild.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=1856.0;topicseen/Url). Made me think about places I would like to go/revisit.
I spent a brilliant week knocking around Loch Eil years ago and stayed in the Peanmeanach Bothy (http://www.mountainbothies.org.uk/bothy-details.asp?bothy_id=68/Url) which is 56.859511, -5.754610 on google maps.
Still remember the fire on the beach, toasted marshmallows and most of all the company.
Its not the greatest or most interesting place I would like to go but somewhere I would defo like to revisit.
How about you?

I don't care where it is but I want an isolated beach with no other soul where I can wild camp in complete safety. Keep scouring google earth especially around the west coast of Donegal and have found a few possibles worth exploring further.

Anywhere that's nice and isolated. Those Canadians don't know how good they have it!

My back garden I'll get the sand pit and paddling pool ready ;D

In fairness, at least we only have to contend with foxes at our wild camps and not bears :D
Canada is awesome, I went for a month about 10 years ago and will never forget that trip! Would definitely like to go back sometime and do some exploring in the Rockies. My other dream trip is the Pacific Crest Trail... some day :)

I was in the Rockies, but further down the range. We (the group I was with) did a hike on a mountain called Snowbird, which, you may have guessed, is a ski resort in Winter. It's quite near Salt Lake City where we were based.
Big Chris, you might have the paddling pool but do you have the cocktails?
