The Moon will pass the closest it's been in 18 years. Should be a good night for moonwatching if the skies stay clear.

I'm looking forward to the high and low tides me and boys off to Donegal tonight for a week , high tide will be fun on the skimboards and the low tides we will be foraging ;D

i read an article about a week ago on this ,and after reading the blogg from redleader, jus wondered if it had had any affect on what just happened in japan maybe just a coincidance. ???

i fancy a full moon nighthike if the conditions are right

Total coincidence but there's lots of chat on the internet from wacky astrologers about it. Think it was an astrologer who actually named it. The science is that obviously the moon does affect the tides (including the solid bits of the earth through "land tides") but it being closer than usual makes only a tiny difference.
