I just read about this in the local paper and was about to post about it, but thankfully did a quick search and realised you'd already posted it.  Well spotted!  Here is the extract from the paper:

The Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB) has teamed up with OutdoorNI.com to encourage people across the country to get outdoors and try something new by taking part in the first ever Northern Ireland Adventureland Weekend which takes place on Saturday April 9 and Sunday April 10.

The weekend will see 23 outdoor activity providers across Northern Ireland offering more than 100 adventure ideas from canoeing or mountain-boarding to rock-climbing or surfing for only £10 per person.

Families and individuals can try coasteering, kayaking or Sea Safari.  The Adventureland Weekend also marks the launch of an entire summer of outdoor activities in Northern Ireland.  As a special bonus, all those taking part in activities during the launch weekend on April 9 and 10 will receive a 10% discount off further bookings before the end of September 2011.

To get people started, NITB and OutdoorNI.com have compiled a list of sample providers and activities on offer during Adventureland Weekend with more information available at www.discovernorthernireland.com/adventureland.

Events will be taking place at Orlock Point in Groomsport and Clearsky Adventure Centre in Strangford.

I kinda fancy giving the coasteering a go seeing its practically on my doorstep.  Coasteering on the Saturday and Canoeing on the Sunday sounds like a good weekend to me :)  Any one else interested?

I would give coasteering a blast though I'm not 100% sure what it is.

Although I'm hoping seeing its around Donaghadee it won't be quite that big a leap ;)

So it's just organised falling into the water. I could do that in Belfast  ::)

A few pints in Cutters Wharf followed by a walk along the towpath would probably sort it.

Had a wee flick through the site there.  I hit the show more button several times, there really is a great selection.
