Title: £70 alpine courses - Connville
Post by: twentyclicks on February 08, 2011
Hi,

Just seen this and I'm 4 weeks away from my course at 10x the price  :-\

18-30 yr olds with no alpine experience or training but intention to mountaineer/climb in the alps.
Subsidised 3-day course in Chamonix for £70 (excluding travel, accom, etc)
Closing 4th April, but appears to run each year. Really great idea for the trust: a positive memorial.

Hope it's of use to some NI-wild folk who perhaps, like myself, don't get any club training.

Awesome, I just so happen to be flying to Geneva and hopping on a train for Chamonix in June when there are dates available.  That said I've no climbing experience in the UK so would need to take a crash course before I got there!  And it would kinda ruin my plans for the Tour Mont Blanc...

Who woulda thought... when you are 16 you try to get a fake ID to say you are older, and when you get over 30 you try to get a fake ID to say you are younger ;D
