Just pulled the logs from the GPS tracker (http://gps.tall-trekkers.com/buy/iBlue+747a) I got in June and dumped them onto one big map.

Kinda neat to see what bits of the Mournes are yet to be explored.

I'm really jealous about how much time you spend in the hills! Any chance of some stats, number of trips and total distance / ascent?
-
Thats pretty cool. If you did it in different colour per trip that would look good as well.
-
Very interesting Chuck. You do a good job of visiting and highlighting to the forum some of the features that are off-the-beaten track.
Some of the squiggly lines look a bit like me doing the weekly shop in Asda. I cover more ground in 60 minutes than Dirk Kuyt!

i think chuck might have had a bit too much buckfast on the overnighters ;)
i've no fancy maps like that but if chuck can email me a blank of the mournes i could probably scribble something together in paintshop, i'm off now to count my summits for last year, if i'm not back in 5 minutes, wait longer .....

Chuck that's not fair , jealous very jealous
Lenny, liam is taking so long as he has all those summits he has done photoshop has run out of red lines :)

calm down, calm down ;D , i've only been walking the mournes since June and i have to record the following
19 day trips (over 4 hours) (includes 9 overnighters)
8 half days (2 to 4 hours)
and numerous wee dashs here and there to feed my addiction, watch this space.....

CLAP........CLAP........CLAP Who's joining me?
-
you should see a doctor about that ;)
my routes are attached using chucks map as it was easier to copy routes that way (mine are the green lines), chuck has done a lot more exploring, i tend to stick to the main routes most of the time, there's so many places i haven't been yet, can't wait for the summer to get out more often ;D
anyone else going to plot there walks?
edit: forgot to add total ascent, educated guess of 13,200 meters
-
Plenty covered there Liam, good one. You and Chuck want to get a wee dander up Slieve Beg, Cove Mountain and Slieve Lamagan some day and get that bit coloured in, it's a good wee strech for the legs alright!
I think a bit of a circuit of the Western Mournes is on the cards for me as I have not been the other side of that road before.

Going to have to join in when I get a chance, its a good idea!
Mind you, I didn't keep any record of my walks over the year so will just have to cobble the info together from trip reports on the forum and photographs! Going to keep a much better log this year :)
