my new bivvy bag was described as goretex but not a mention of it on the bag itself
its an ex-army olive green bag with the following stamped on it
COVER SLEEPING BAG
8465-99-769 7040
CT3B/5034
1996
POLYWARM PRODUCTS
i got it for £23 so not too worried if it isn't real goretex but don't like false advertising so does anyone know if its the genuine article?

Issued divvy bags are goretex but they don't label it to keeP morale down amongst the troops lol.
But for real yes army issued bivvy bags are goretex

I'm after a good bivvy bag, where did you get it from?

Got mine on ebay, they seem to go for anywhere between £30 to £40 for the ex army stuff. I waited until I found a very cheap one and if I like this bivvying I think I'll upgrade to something better (bigger, lighter and maybe even brighter!)

hope my info helped.

Check out the Alpkit Hunka, it always reviews well.
