I'm packing for a quick overnight tonight...can't find my Mora (must have dropped it last weekend at Meelmore), so I'm taking my other knife...a multi-tool I got for Christmas from my wife a couple of years ago.
I'm soo going to keep away from any boulders ;D

What mystical location have you chosen? Don't go too high, plenty of cloud about and you'll want to see all the fog in the valleys at sunrise, should be a great view.

I started packing for a quick overnighter last night, but never did make it out the door! Hope you have a good 'un!
PS: Hope it isn't a cheap multi-tool made in China with a blunt blade?
PPS: Give me a call before you begin any surgery ;D

so much for my forecast, plenty of cloud yes but all at 5000feet so even donard summit well clear, can't see any fog either but Lurgan last night had fog as thick as condensed pea soup, had to use the satnav to find the exit off the motorway roundabout as i couldn't see the signs ;D

I'm getting very bad a posting around here...busy busy job starting to catch up with me or it's the one hour each way commute (could be worse I suppose (http://www.neatorama.com/2011/02/04/a-death-defying-commute/))
Anyhow, Left Happy Valley car park at 0130 (after me and my Da when to watch Airplane at the QFT (http://www.queensfilmtheatre.com/)...sponsored by Jamasons)
Excellent nite hike, hardly any cloud, only a wee touch of wind and no rain :D , moon was shining down from the top of happy valley. Hit Meelmore summit at 0230...had a wee poke about and found a spot looking down at Silent Valley shining in the moonlight (perhaps Dowser now knows why I kept wandering off during our quick up/down of Meelmore).
Got the fire going (now 0300), got my new bivvy bag out (and no tarp..was nice not to have to listen to it flap in the breeze all night...it's like you could actually hear stuff going on around you)
and downed my freebe from the QFT:

Finally got around to bringing a thermometer with me:
