My name is Mark,

One of my new year resolutions is to do some wild camping, want to be getting out a good few times this year. Used to do a good lot as a kid, but really want to start it again!

I'll soon be posting questions about some gear, and look forward to your replies  :)

Title: annalong wood friday 14th jan

I'm heading up for an overnighter in annalong wood tomorrow evening. I'm working til 1630 so wont be up there till afterdark, but i'm putting it out there if anyone fancies it who can't make the summit camp like me. I'm quite new to the forum and its the first time since the end of the summer that ive been up. If anyone is up for it then let me know, Im going to take a bag of logs to keep the fire going and it'll save me wandering round the woods at night looking for wood lol.

Like I say, anyone who is up for it, let me know

Hi Mark, welcome to the forum.  I had a very similar New Year's resolution last year and I've been wild camping on quite a few occasions since, so you should have no problem achieving that goal :)

hi mate welcome to the forum.
your circumstances are very similar to mine regarding not having been camping mountain waiting since u where a kid.
