Good video... I like it!

When I first saw all the gear sitting on the bed I thought Wow, that's a lot of gear for an overnighter, but when you actually started talking us through it, it all seems present and correct to be honest.

Can't think of much you could ditch to save weight.  Likewise I can't think of anything that you've missed which would leave you struggling with the elements for any reason.  I'd say you'll definately make it through the night alive.

Only thing I would reconsider is the Port.  If you ditched the Stainless Steel hip flask, and replaced it with a plastic 500ml cola bottle, you could carry twice as much without adding to much to your weight.

Any chance you could pack it all in the ruck (Don't worry about the milk and bread rolls) and give us a total weight.  I know your not at the weighing everything stage yet but some of us on here are completely obsessed and will be dying to know.

Nice vid

once packed I will get the weight for you.

Thanks for the kind comments and I will change the flask. Then you can have some (or was that the idea? ;)

Hey Bic.

All my kit goes into Exped dry bags and there is also a rain cover on the bag

its the rucksack you carry on the front where the weight can be saved   ;)

but more constructively  ::) is that tripod metal? maybe one of the wee plastic gorilla pods might save a little weight

possible additions:
mini heat packs (about £1 from sports direct)

otherwise looks spot on

The tripod is about the same weight as a karabiner so light enough. But thanks for looking.

also I have 3 heat pads already.

Nice one Lenny.  As Dowser says, it's a spot on selection for this time of year (well, most of the year really bar the down jacket in the summer).
Love the Leatherman - my 20 year old swiss army knife gets nervous every time I see a Style CS  :)

If I have a moment when I'm packing later, I'll do a video of my Meelmore kit for a laugh.

This could be YouTube's shortest video  :D

I've never been a big fan of Leatherman... Until now!!! I had a bit of a Google and the Style CS really does look the business:

I alway thought too many unnesessary tools and therefore too much weigh but the second picture has sold it to me!!!

Could be one hanging from my camo belt soon enough.

£18.35 delivered from Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Leatherman-Style-Multi-Tool-CS-Black/dp/B003J37BMK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1295007146&sr=8-1)...  That's a bargain  :D
