Hi,
It looks similar to the Europa boat I paddled when I first started kayaking. It was a good learner boat, was stable, great for going down weirs and missing stoppers and was fast as opposed to the playboat/creeking types. What level of a paddler are you?
-
I paddled a few times while in school, but would class myself as a complete novice.
-
Then it's the ideal boat to get you on the water.. Have you a spray deck, paddle and airbags for it?
-
I have a paddle gettin the spraydeck this week.
Airbags??
-
Yeah, you need them in the boat to help with floatation and when you capsize it the boat only part fills with water, it is easier to empty.
The Robinson centre in Belfast runs kayaking sessions on a Wed evening and Saturday Morning.. Coaches are there to guide you and it's open to the public so anyone can come down. Have you got a PFD and Cag?
-
Theres a six week course starting in Cascades in Portadown 'm hoping to get on, but if not i'll go for the robinson centre. I have a PFD but no cag.

When my friend started he used his waterproof jacket until he bought a semi dry cag.. You could try some club websites to see if people are selling any. I am in Lisburn City paddlers and Belfast Kayak Club. I know a few peeps that might be selling their cags as they are upgrading to dry suits. Register at LCP and you can view their buy/sell section.
