Happy Christmas everyone, there's been a explosion of pink in our living room

best surprise present for me was a voucher for a torchlight ascent of donard on new years eve with hot drinks at the top to celebrate the new year, weather dependant i might even bring the tent up!

ha-ha!  Looks like I picked some awkward presents.

My Timex Expedition watch with built in compass didn't arrive, and now it's 'unavailable'
my body board is due back in stock at Lomo in April!
and my rash vest for under the wetsuit won't be coming for a while either.

Ah well, It just means Christmas gets stretched across the year.

i reckon one of the best presents you can get someone is a years subscription to a magazine, as you say it strecthes it out all year, and if they live in the same house you get to read it as well  ;)

Bodyboarding is good fun my eldest really picked it up this summer and you had to drag him home as he kept turning a funny blue colour and would not quit .
I got a skimboard this year and had loads of fun on it and now thinking of getting a zap board but the prices can be a bit scary

You don't need to be able to swim, At its simplest it's just getting out to chest deep and then riding the waves in to shore.

I think there's like world championships and stuff, where they do really skilful manœuvres but I just like mucking about in the surf.
