The mapping software that most of us use around here has released a new version that includes native access to OpenStreetMap.org and a new plugin that hooks into the geocaching.com site.
Mapyx example (click for biggy):

If you have not used Mapyx before grab the .exe from here: http://download.mapyx.com/quo_files/v2/quo2_setup.exe (http://affiliate.mapyx.com/idevaffiliate/idevaffiliate.php?id=172&url=3), otherwise here's the new stuff:
Open Street Map maps installation
1. Download Quo installation script from this location:
http://download.mapyx.com/quo_files/v2/install_free_maps_OSM.qs2 (http://affiliate.mapyx.com/idevaffiliate/idevaffiliate.php?id=172&url=4)
2. Run Quo v2 and go to menu Help > Open Installer File...
3. Browse for downloaded file install_free_maps_OSM.qs2 and open it.
Important notes
Open Street Map maps are FREE, created by users and cover whole world. For details please visit http://www.openstreetmap.org. We also invite you to support the project so please consider making a donation http://donate.openstreetmap.org.
Open Street Map maps require internet connection to work.
After installation Open Street Map maps will appear under main Maps menu.
If you have multiple OS, OSi, etc. maps loaded you can use Open/Save Loaded Maps Scenario functionality (buttons can be found in Explorer window, tab Loaded Maps) to quickly and easily save and load all your loaded maps.
If you wish to use 3D View tool with Open Street Map maps you will need to download and import FREE SRTM Digital Terrain Model data into Quo. This can be done by using Import function and select SRTM DTM. FREE SRTM DTM data can be downloaded from:
1. http://srtm.csi.cgiar.org/SELECTION/inputCoord.asp
This server is very slow, however it has user interface to select DTM area in the world.
2. ftp://xftp.jrc.it/pub/srtmV4/arcasci/
This server is fast, however there is no user interface.
Same goes for using altitude display, profile, route card, etc. (all functions which uses DTM database) for all parts of the world where you don't have any Quo v2 DTM database installed (for example OS DTM 50m, OSNI DTM 50m, etc.).

http://download.mapyx.com/quo_files/v2/install_free_plugin_Geocaching.qs2 (http://affiliate.mapyx.com/idevaffiliate/idevaffiliate.php?id=172&url=5)
2. Run Quo v2 and go to menu Help > Open Installer File...
3. Browse for downloaded file install_free_plugin_Geocaching.qs2 and open it.

Woohoo... I've just bought all of Scotland!
Now that I've bought all of Scotland I would appreciate being referred to as Laird Suspect Monkey (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laird) ;)

You're a mug, you didn't need to buy all of Scotland, one square foot (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JKmC36w1ZpI) would have been sufficient!
