Hi, never mind we'll be heading loads over the winter keep in touch and we'll get a good trip when your up and about. What kayak and gear are you using?
-
What kind of fish are you going for during winter in Belfast Lough? Are there many about? I did a bit of fishing from the rocks around the Bangor - Donaghadee coast line during the summer, but had kind of hung up the fishing rod as I didnt think there would be much about over winter? Maybe I hung up the rod too soon :)

Hi Jonny, winter fishing will produce Coalie, Pollack, Codling Wrass etc. Cod is predominantly a cold water/winter fish but you do need to find deep water fishing marks, thats the beuty of the kayaks you can get out to them, but i have to admit that I enjoy kayaking in the choppy water just as much as fishing. But I have noticed that it has become more and more difficult to catch fish from the shore over the last couple of years. We can only speculate as too the reason for that !
Do you fancy going kayaking ?
Cheers Tony

hi all
I have just got my new fishing kayak and was wondering when and where you were all going to meet next?

Hey, how's it going. I didn't have any plans to go soon because of wind and rough seas. When did you get your kayak and what is it ?
