Chuck myself and Bo started out from bloody bridge camp site on Wednesday evening for a bivvy not knowing where we would be spending the night . It rained a bit then a bit more and I got soaked by the time we arrived at bog of donnard . We decided to head down into annalong valley for a bit of shelter knowing annalong wood was an escape if things got worse . we arrived at Hares Castle and spotted a grassy bit that we decided to tarp up . Rain on and off for a bit but cleared during night for a nice stary sky
After breakfast we headed up and over Chimney rock into the mist then walked blindly down it's side to bloody bridge :-) all in all it was great to get into the hills
Here is the route (stolen from chuck hope he don't mind )

Sounds top. We should do more bivvying where we just head out and see what happens rather than always having picked a destination.

Sounds good maybe have a random bivvy night to wet the babys head when he/she arrives :-) , it was good not really knowing where we would be sleeping and chuck sweet talking the farmer for secure parking has opened up the whole side from bloody bridge . 2 cars one meelmore one bloody bridge would give many routes for an overnighter ..

I'm pondering next Fri or Sat for a quick overnighter but wont know until closer to the time.
