I have a Gerlet Solo and was thinking about buying a exped bag for it and packing in down in that but worry about if it might damage the tent.

Is shouldn't damage the tent. I've always been told that folding tents, tarps etc the same way every time can actually weaken the fabric at the folds, and will certainly wear off or damage the waterproof coating, therefore stuffing the fabric into a bag a different way each time is actually better for it. As with packing any tent, just be careful that the poles or pegs don't put a hole or tear in the fabric.

Thanks for the advise.

Yeah random stuffing is the best way to store gear as staed above. Also keep the poles and pegs seperate, it'll allow you to store it a lot smaller.

Cheers Chris, Stuffing as I speak (not right now)
