Title: Win a Leatherman Kick from Surf Mountain

NI-Wild have secured a competition prize from local retailer Surf Mountian.

Surf Mountain have been providing the local outdoor people with clothing & equipment since 1984.
Their 3 shops in Belfast, Bangor & Lisburn stock many major outdoor brands which the staff use themselves. There is always someone within the business who can provide the answer to product questions.

Surf Mountain are now trading online & are keen to promote their site & products locally. They plan to track visits from NI-Wild so please use one of the links on this site to click through to surf mountain.com (http://www.SurfMountain.com?PartnerID=60).

This competition is exclusive to NI-Wild & will not be published anywhere else. So, a user of this site will win the prize of a Leatherman Kick. NI-Wild would encourage members and visitors to enter this competition as this is something which could continue in the future.

The competition takes the form of questions relating to the surf mountain.com website.
Entrants will have their email address added to the surf mountain.com mailing list & NI-Wild will receive a list of names & email addresses of everyone who enters but this information will not be supplied to anyone else.

The competition will end at midnight on Sunday 15th August 2010. The winner will be drawn at random from the correct answers by Surf Mountain. The winner & the correct answers will be announced on NI-Wild on Monday 16th August 2010 .

1. What percentage have Surf Mountain discounted The North Face Mens Resolve Jacket by?
2. What price is the Boulder 35 Daysack from Vango?

The better response we get the better chance of doing something in the future.

It is Cotswold who have opened there. Just another National outdoor store in the city centre.

Surf Mountain have been in the same building in Brunswick Street for 25 years.
We have a store in Castle Street, Lisburn & another in Main Street, Bangor.

The winners details were emailed to Admin yesterday but maybe he hasn't had time to announce it.

We can confirm that the winner is Stephen Pinkerton.
Congratulations to Stephen from the Surf Mountain team.
We have sent Stephen an email with instructions of how to recieve his prize but perhaps he will post a response here.

Post by: pinki on August 18, 2010: Thank you to Surf Mountain and NI WIld for bringing this competition. I don't visit the site or your great shops as often as I should, but that will change when I get the deck fitted to my kayak and get outside again more. I am going in for the Mountain Marathon in a month, and will carry this lovely tool to equip me to deal with almost every scenario possible.

(The last time I tried a Mountain Marathon, I retired after the first day with knee probs, it must have been around 1998 or 99, and Surf Mountain were the sponsers. This is like late recognition :)

It is the intention of surfmountain (http://www.surfmountain.com/) to run comps like this as often as possible. We do offer prizes to walking clubs etc from time to time. NI-Wild will be included in the next one of these comps too.

As LandyLiam says, this is all about raising our profile in the hope someone will remember us the next time they need something.
