Title: Sick of Cave Hill and Black Mountain
Post by: RedLeader on June 01, 2010
Now that the weather's nice again I'd like to get back to walking once or twice a week. I normally take a shoot round Cave Hill (or sometimes Black Mountain) but to be honest I'm sick of the sight of them. Can anyone suggest a decent circular walk of 1-2 hours somewhere handy to Belfast.

I usually go a route in antrim hills over hightown + agnews hill, crackin views over larne, island magee and can see sperrins + scotland on clear day. its off the road from ballymena to larne! prob about 40mins from you!! so not really what your looking for  :D

Would still do at the weekends. Just not close enough for the evenings. We were around Agnews Hill earlier in the year. It's down for our next quick overnighter summit bivvy!

Probably quite soon. We had it pegged as one we could do as a Fri night after work shot being home next day for breakfast!

Carnmoney hill is a good one. Start a the petrol station just beside the Woodland trust entrance. Steep good for fitness, great views.
