Title: I like eating, I like the outdoors and I like eating outdoors
Post by: Serious Cat on May 09, 2010
Hello all,

My daughter has just returned from the May 8th camping trip with her dad (Dowser) and had a great time!   I've been mostly cycling and running lately and am ashamed to say, I haven't been up the Mournes since the heavy snow in January / February.

Being from the country, I love a bit of camping and so does little Aimee.  You can't beat a cup of tea and a bit of banter in front of a camp fire.

Does anyone know when the next trip will take place and I'll dig my camping gear out.

Kind regards

Louise

Welcome!

Haha, no shortage of people on here that like that mix. We'd a leg of lamb on Saturday that would make your mouth water (the rabbit would have done the same if you'd closed your eyes and tried to think of something else ;))

Aimee did a grand job too - she'll be summit camping in no time!

Not sure when we'll be out next as the lads are off tp Nevis in 2 weeks but it definitely wont be long.

Hi Louise!  If you like eating outdoors then you've definitely come to the right place!  The phrase "too many chefs..." doesn't appear to apply around the camp fire, although the cooking has definitely got competitive ;)

Too many chefs is never a problem since we always make Billy Backpack do it all ;) He's so good at it there's no point us suffering with sub standard cuisine  ::)
