Did you ever do Muckish Scribble?  I'd be interested how you got on, what route etc.

Wow a reply  ;D I see it everyday I go for my morning pint at the harbour bar and had planned to do it with my sis while on our holidays , they day we Picked turned out to be nasty and she chickened out , so still never done it, back up to Donegal on the 19th August so hoping to try it on the 21st , I will be keeping an eye on your trip so I can ask you advice , good luck and I hope the weather treats you good

Trip report here (http://www.ni-wild.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=2260.msg24331;topicseen#msg24331).

You were probably right to avoid it in the bad weather.  It could be a nightmare to navigate and it is really interesting too so it'd be nice to able to see.

Smashing mountain and well worth doing. I climbed from the Gap but I believe the Miner's Track is very interesting. The top is very interesting (like walking on the moon!) and the views across to Errigal and The Aglas are simply stunning. Highly recommended if you get the right conditions. Really hope to do the Glover Highlander walk one year.

Done a writeup at: http://climbingirelandsmountains.blogspot.com/2009/11/muckish-on-pigs-back.html

Cheers,

Very photogenic spot if the conditions are right. Keep meaning to head back up for a day to take in Muckish and Errigal again - 2 of my favourite mountains and within a stones-throw of each other.
