For anybody with with little'ns, above is the link to apply for tickets.. there is a lot of excitment in this house  :o (just praying we get the tickets) today is the deadline to apply

"This is your chance to come face to face with amazing animals and have a go at fun adventure activities. There will be special performances featuring Steve Backshall, Naomi Wilkinson and others.

Last year over 90,000 of you came along, but they did get a bit hectic, so this year you'll need a ticket"

i think it was randomly chosen, hopefully those who applied early would have got them as that would be fairer, fortunately my daughter told me she didn't want to go anyway, she changes her mind like the wind  :)

Quote
The safety of the audience at BBC events is of paramount importance.  Unfortunately we had to make the difficult decision of cancelling Sunday’s Deadly Day Out in Castlewellan due to the forecasted extremely high winds of up to 60mph. We are sorry for any disappointment caused to people who have been allocated free tickets for the event but as the Deadly Days Out take place in a series of tented structures with additional outdoor activities placed on open grounds, we have had to review the site and weather forecasts and make the decision to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

The Deadly Days Out run in tandem with the Live ‘n’ Deadly programmes – so unfortunately this event will not be able to be rearranged for this series at this stage.  We are sorry for any disappointment caused to Deadly viewers.

so it's not such a deadly event after all  ::)

My girlfriend got tickets for this as well, and the kids were all set to see the dangerous animals until it was cancelled, instead they all went for a hike up Slieve Croob then a trip to Funky Monkeys, the tiredness helped take their minds off it.
