Kayaking at Shaws Bridge - 27th Mar 10
« on: March 19, 2010 »

John Hubbocks from Mobile Team Adventure does turn up and paddle kayak sessions at Shaws Bridge on every Saturday afternoon.
Who fancies a go at it on the first session in March (Sat 27th). It's £15 for a 2 hour session from 4-6pm and you don't need any equipment.

Hopefully DampColin can fill in a few details but this is suitable for all levels of experience so beginners can get a bit of instruction and more experienced people can have a mess.

Well I'm firmly in the "beginners" camp!  Dont think I've ever sat in a canoe or kayak :)

You can probably count Kat in for this as well!

John runs "turn up and try" sessions at Shaws bridge every saturday starting 27th of this March as J said earlier. Anyone can give it a go from the complete novice who's never sat in a kayak or canoe to the more experienced.
The last session is usually the best one to attend as its an adults only session and you'd get the most out of the coaching thats provided, costs £15 for two hours and the session runs from 4.30 too 6.30. Its a great introduction to kayaking/canoeing and value for money.   ;D

Thats a shame chum. I'm hoping that we can get groups canoeing at Shaws Bridge on a regular basis.

I was really looking forward to it. I'd like to get down to it at least once or twice a month.
