Scary biscuits,
Well it is a Halloween camp! I love scary things. I remember I got caught out in a storm and fading light in the hills in South Wales. I hopped over a wall and rolled over to what I thought was a large Boulder and scrambled into my bivibag to avoid the wind and sleet.
When I awoke at first light I found myself lying in an old graveyard, what I thought was a boulder was a tombstone which had subsided and the hollow I was laying in was a second grave which had pushed up and I could clearly see the outline of a coffin and some bones poking through. The morning was calm and it didn't feel right for me to brew up were I was,so I went back over the wall. After my brew I walked around the old grave yard reading the gravestones and found the dates were from the 1700s to 1926. So wot u may ask? wots scary about that? Well nothing except that the tome stone that gave me shelter was a family grave that had the same surname as me. Scary biscuits.

That's a really fascinating article. I didn't realise Rams Island had such an interesting history, I'd really love to know more.

Hi folks!
Well we're expecting our second baby in a couple of weeks time so the timing doesn't suit me for this trip, but I hope you all have a really good night!
On the plus side, as I'm not at this camp, it gives me a free pass for the Christmas camp  ;D

Stick me down as probably. I have a few things on that weekend but hopefully I can shuffle them around. I've never been to Rams Island, it looks awesome.

Well Rumblebum was a couple of weeks out on that.  He welcomed his new baby daughter into the world today.  All dong well.  As I pointed out to him, that gives a couple more weeks gap before the Christmas camp  ;D

I haven't had the kids at a NI Wild camp in donkeys, so will have to try to get along to one soon.  Unfortunately we tend meet up with friends around Halloween so it's not possible to get along to this one.  Have a good one folks.  Looking forward to the pics.
