That was a fantastic night round the campfire, good to meet up with everyone and the spread of food was delicious (that baileys cake was awesome), had a blast.  :)

Merry Blummin' Christmas NI-Wilders!!!

Well done everybody for the huge huge effort put in to all the food preparation last night.  It was an amazing feast and everything was very very tasty... Even the Brussel Sprouts went down a treat  :D

Another amazing camp, and once again everyone (except me  ;D )  outdid themselves preparing an amazing feast, well done, especially to Andy, who not only made the massive turkey, but also became my waiter for the night (maybe he thought I had a stash of reserve alcohol supply for later  ::) )

start of the long walk to camp

same light as last year, but not as bright as i was also using the same battery as last year  :(  but there was the addition of the disco ball  :)

I'm ready for my scrum now Andy

and some people think wild camping is roughing it  ;D

and some flaming christmas pud and brandy sauce for dessert

i even ate the design off the plate

time to relax by the roaring fire

just standing round chewing the fat

and then the peach snappes gets passed around

then people start going a little weird

A midnight arrival from Oisin and crew

a guest appearance from the real santa !

time for bed with myyyy precioussssss

the morning after zombies

all packed up and ready to go home, got some strange looks from the ramblers  ;D

That was a top night in the woods around the campfire. It was my first time up with everyone and was made to feel more than welcome but maybe they just wanted my mashed potatoes! lol Really couldn't of asked for better weather, better food or better company. It was as the missus would say 'Totes Amaze!'. Looking forward to getting out with people again soon, oh and just to repeat what others have said- that Baileys cake was awesome!!!!!

Now, I know that as i am a much loved and respected member of the NI Wild community,  a large piece of this famous Baileys cake has been set aside for me, so that when i am up and feeling right as rain again, il be able to collect my generous portion and can consume it at my own leisure.

Im right in saying this arnt I?

Where do i get my cake?

Would anyone like to buy some sprouts?

An absolutely fantastic night around the fire, well deserved back slapping all round the time and effort everyone put in with all the food and drink certainly paid off, from our mulled wine and mixed meats starter into a Christmas diner with all the trimmings followed up with pud and brandy sauce all washed down with a couple of very large tots of port and too many more wee extras to mention oh and that cake lol, all came together along with great company and a chance to meet some wilders I had yet to put the faces to names made it in my book a first class night well done everyone.

Ps its still 2 weeks to Christmas do you think we could have a another go.. ;D

Each year it gets better .
Yet again we where lucky with the weather .
It all kicks off the xmas season nicely , as soon as you
get that first glass of mulled wine right down to squeezing in
that last mince pie .
Well done to everyone the cooking went like clockwork
and twentyfive plus people fed and watered a four course
dinner round an open fire never fails to amaze me.
All the extras , especially the tasty treats supplied by our new
members just completed the festive feast.
Cheers, and merry xmas :-))

I'd like to thank you all for the effort you put in. I'm grateful for the food and company, both were excellent.

Mother Nature even lent a hand with the weather, what more could you ask for. Lovely seeing you all again, even if it was a late arrival.

Thanks for having us.
