A stroll up to the Lisnabreeny Fort through The Cregagh Glen at the weekend.

The last shot of my little video looking towards Belfast and Cavehill is from the old Lisnabreeny Military Cemetery (https://goo.gl/W8XUYF) where WW2 US servicemen were buried including the men whose plane crashed into Cavehill (https://goo.gl/maps/zah8kghJ5x12). There's a plaque and memorial close-by.

WHAT lol you must have drove past it hundreds of times, it on the carriageway at the top of the Cregagh Road at the traffic lights. We were never out of it when we were kids.

It really is a charming hidden gem to wander through, the walkways and little waterfalls are fantastic. It's on the Upper Knockbreda Road, the entrance is roughly here: https://goo.gl/maps/JeBr2zurPhk

Or there's this one that no-one really knows about, it doesn't have any paths or steps it's about 100yds back from the official Glen.

I frequently visit this area, its lovely and on a clear day you can see the Mournes from the fort. Recently the national trust improved the path and fences leading to the fort so its quite popular with dog walkers and the like. The ring fort would be a great spot for a bivvy assuming you asked the land owner for permission.

Yes, there's quite a few places for a quick stealth bivvy further down in the Glen, must meet up for a stroll and a potter about sometime.
Fascinating, I'll have to give it a once around. Anywhere you could stealth bivvy, (I'm asking for a friend ::))

Sounds good. Now the better weather's approaching hopefully I'll venture out of the house a bit more 8)

Joking aside the days are starting to stretch out alright. Good to see a see another wee spot, cheers 'Yak, must get the family out for a wee dander there.
