Title: Hello!

Hello, thanks for having me on here. I'm a bit of an amateur compared to what I've read so far, but that's fine for me, I'm here to learn.

I love to get out into the forest, I run most days, mostly round Scrabo. I used to go to Belvoir or round the Lagan towpath before most of it had to be chopped down.

When I get more time, I'll go down to the Mournes or head out round the fields and woods where I grew up in Ballygowan.

I haven't been camping in years, but I like to get a fire going, chill out, read a book, maybe do some foraging.

I spent the last few years doing journalism and politics, the last couple focusing on environmental topics in and around Manchester. It really opened my eyes to how things are getting, and has pushed me on to getting outdoors more and learning some more of those skills.

Anyway, I'll look forward to reading through the posts on here and chatting to you all.

I just joined the group as well and come from your area, Iam not new to this but have been away from it for awhile and iam hoping to get this weekend to Clandyboye if you would like to meet up.
