Hi guys, haven't been out in ages, due to work commitments, but a wee camping trip is coming up wednesday 3rd oct, until thurs 4th, heading from carrick little car park, up wee binnian, round to blue lake, Percy caves, then round to cove caves and then down to camp in the valley, then home in the morning along annalong river, anybody wants to join me let me know, I,ll be leaving Belfast at 10am on Wednesday & I,ll bring the vino lol G...

It's good to see your still kicking around G, we've had a few good wee trips lately so keep your eye on the forum and sure join up with us some night, though il have to pass on your wee trip in October.

Ok gang, I know that there's a camp in Annalong wood on Saturday the 24th but unfortunately I can't make this date, however I've been planning to have a summit camp on Meelmore on Friday the 23rd.
It's going to be an up late (around 8 30) and leave early (10) camp and if anyone wants to join me then give me a shout.

Sorry if this is a bit of a clash with the Annalong wood camp but I've planned it for a while now, god I hope it stays dry!!!

Big E ,Spud & myself will be doing a hike tomorrow morning around Annalong valley,Chimney rock,rocky,Hares castle,they hoping to explore the old dwelling used by workers during the building of the dams,anybody wising to join us,either PM Spud or Myself,we are aiming to start our walk around 8am.

BigE & myself are planing a days hike in the Western Mournes this Sunday,anyone wising to join us is more than welcome.Some time ago i found an old guide book on Mourne walks by Richard Rogers  & i have Paddy Dillons,Mourne walks, so with these we'll be setting ourselves a wee trek out.we'll be starting around 10am with a finish time of around 5pm,as always we'll be doing some navigation,feature finding & using an emergency bothy.

Snap, i was just about to post same    with weather is looking fine tomorrow and a possibility of a cloud inversion so i've booked the day off work and had planned to hit the hills with my brother-in-law who's home for the holidays. Any routes in mind? I was think of A: Donard  but only so i could get high above the fog or B: Ben Crom from Ott car park (via Doan) or C: somewhere in the western mournes, or  D: whatever you think    was think of starting about 10am

Anywhere! was just hoping for a wee bit more exciting than snottyslat by myself, as my partner in crime had to cancel our longer walk.. im happy to go with the flow.. with Donard my 5th preference  let me know

Myself and the brother are going from carrick little up the track and over Lamagan, Cove and Beg and back by the Annalong river tomorrow. We saw the good weather forcast too. We are leaving home here around 6 though and will be setting off shortly after 7.

I'm trying to avoid the Carrick Little track, done a lot of it lately  might be tempted to try the Devils Coachroad, maybe starting from Newcastle and going up the Pot of Legawherrry, so maybe bump into you later.
